Adhesives that Withstand Autoclaving

I tried hot glue (stupid, and obvious) i tried regular silicone- no go, and ive tried wood glue - flop!

Which adhesives hold @ 121 C? i was thinking high temp. silicone but its too expensive. I intend to glue filter disk ala Micron Magick to metal or plastic.

Most epoxy should. Most hardware stores should carry some form of it. It's pretty cheap, runs somewhere around $2.50 for a tube.

You could use a heat resistent silicone as well.

normal silicon always works for me. rub it well into the disk and stick it from both sides

if it absolutly comes down to it, jb weld has worked on my muffler for a while now. it's a bit messy though.

100% silicone sealant will work, but you have to let it cure for at least 24 hours before p cooking it or it wont hold up. It will also stick to foil if its not been cured long enough.

To make it stick to the plastic lid rough the area around the hole up really good with course sandpaper, then wipe the lid with alcohol.

Once the alcohol evaporates you can put the silicone on and it will stick to the plastic well.
