I've got a crazy story for ya.  So when I first met my boyfriend I was at his house and needed to use the bathroom.  So I go, and I felt like a little kid locked in the basement, I sprung the door open and ran out.  And I told him I thought someone had died in his bathroom and that I was scared in there.  Then, I moved in.  And that's when it all started.  He told me he knew he had a spirit in his house because he would hear footsteps and some of his friends had told him similar experiences as mine.  So, now I'm living there and we had empty beer bottles on the coffee table and we would hear the bottles clanking together when we were trying to sleep and our laptops would sparatically turn on and off.  Then, every morning at 4am on the dot I would be woken up.  Our friends would stay over when they were drunk ONE time and after that always drive home because they were scared to stay.  Doors would open and close by themselves.  A lot of activity during the day. There would be knocks on the door and I would answer and nobody would be there.  So I told my friend about this and her mom is a paranormal investigator.  So she told us to stack 10 pennies and put them in different rooms because spirits can move copper.  She said if there was a spirit there 90% of the time they will move the pennies.  We put one pile in the bathroom and another in the spare room.  Sure enough, 3 days later we checked and the pennies in the spare room were knocked over and the pennies in the bathroom were still in a stack except for the top penny.  It was scooted over so about 10% of the penny was touching the stack.  It should have fallen but was suspended. Then we took some sage and tried to cleanse the house.  That only made things worse.  The next day the faucet in the bathroom turned on by itself.  Then, I was putting my makeup on and we had a mirror that comes out of the wall and the mirror moved towards my face.  That night, I had a dream I was being choked.  I woke up gasping for air with the feeling of hands on my neck and when I looked at the clock, 4am.  So I was like, no way are we staying here.  We went to stay at my parents house, where I had a full nights sleep, didn't wake up at 4.  We went back to the house 3 days later and you know those word magnets that people put on their refridgerators?  We had those and the word victory was in the bathtub.  When we told the paranormal investigator, she said spirits are able to move magnets.  CREEPY!  So, now the paranormal investigator wants to come over.  She came with an electromagnetic field detector and aimed it at the a/c and it went to 3 from 1-10.  Then, she pointed it at the toaster and it was a 2.  Then, along with a thermometer that detected temperature changes, she went into the spare room (with no electric devices, it was an empty room) and it went PAST 10!  She said she had never seen it that strong!  So next, (and there were friends and family there, some of which never believed us) she took dousing rods (long copper rods) and there was no way she was moving these things, and said make an X for yes and straight for no.  We all asked it questions.

Were you murdered? I  I  (no)
Did you die of natural causes?  X
Were you in your 40's?  I  I
Were you in your 50's?  X
Do you want us here?  I I
Do you want to harm us?  X 
So, we had a garage sale, our lease was up anyway, and we didn't want to stay!  During the garage sale, the neighbors came over.  We asked them if they knew of anyone that had died in the house.  THe neighbor lady said, actually, the last tenants, they were in their 50's and the lady died EARLY IN THE MORNING of cancer IN THE BATHROOM!  :what2:  The husband and son still had 6 months on their lease, and they stayed.  So maybe it was her watching her family, and she never left. 

Just thought I'd share my story with you guys.  Would love to hear comments, or your own stories!

Thats interesting, thanks for posting.

I've known many trustworthy people with stories of their own.  My sisters ex-bf's family had a ghost.  I went to see them and at this point knew nothing about the ghost.  I asked my dad to change the TV to channel 3 and he said he didn't know where the remote was then the TV changed over to channel 3 on its own.  My dad enquired to my sis bfs mother where the remote was and she pointed it out, it was sat on the mantle piece.  We then asked if her tv was broken as it had changed channel on its own and she said "it might of been the ghost".  Then she told us the house was haunted.  She said she didn't mind and that the spirit hadn't bothered them, it just rattled around at night and would move things about.  She said when ever everybody left the house and they came back all the doors in the house would be shut.

That's a trip.  That's how we were at first when our friends wouldn't stay or if we were hanging out with people and it would knock on the door or wall and run its finger up and down the blinds. People didn't believe us at first, but then the ghost got hostile!
