weird pins
    #955142 -

hola
i am dreading to ask this for fear of having to throw out some cakes, but here goes: does acadian coast strain have some weird kind of pinning? this is my first time with this strain (from sporeworks). the substrate took about 3-4 weeks to colonize, although it seemed to go very vigorously at first; i chalked this up to my using very small vermiculite for the first time. the mycelium was kinda light yellow in places; i have read this is normal. once colonized, the cakes started getting weird bumps on them (not normal pins- they look more like tiny worms, although they obviously dont move). i have birthed them and put them in perlite terarriums, but im concerned to say the least. any help is appreciated.

Its probably just hyphal knots, they occur just before pinning.
You should be fine.

i dont think so. i have seen hyphal knots before. these really look like a flatworm, kinda greyish, about 1 cm long. definitely not part of the substrate either. any other ideas?
