Shroomery Book Discussion

I would like to start up another book discussion, which hopefully will keep interest and work. I have several novels in mind, that are all very well written, and fast reads.

American Gods by Neil Gaiman- This is an absolutely outstanding work of literature by my favorite author, ingenious creativity, this is a must read!

Twelve by Nick McDonell- This is another outstanding novel that is the 17 year old authors debut. It deals with todays younger generation, and deals with many issues including drugs, sex, and what our society has become. Probably one of the most profound and moving books ive read on any cultural subjects.

A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genious- I just started reading this, and its amazing. It waves in and out of excellent comedy, mixed with very profound, depressive parts to it. Its a Pulitzer Prize finalist, and National Bestseller.

If anyone is intrested in getting this going, please respond, and if you have suggestions please post them!

Yes Remy , I too would like to Begin the Discussions again.

May I please refer you to the Illuminatus! Trilogy Post at the Top of the Forum.

I am a Gaiman fan as well, Although I dont have anymore of his Novels - (sold them) I would be interested in reading his Latest "American Gods" - But since I know a few Folks already have the Illuminatus! I think it best to begin with that .

Of course - Nothing is stopping you from conducting your Own Discussion! - Although I would like ot be a part of the Gaiman Discussion as well - and cannot read both novels in tandem at this time. -OoD
