...drop a relatively weak tab of LSD before going to see Neil Young w/ Wilco tonight, if I'm fighting a cold (coughing/sniffling)?  I can't decide.

I've heard that you're symptoms seem to clear up for the duration. I tripped mushies a little ill not to long ago and felt a fair amount better. Give it a go.

I guess I've never been quite clear on how psychedelics affect the immune system.

I don't want to smoke too much pot (I rolled a pinner to bring along, my friend is gonna smoke most of it then give me the last third so we don't pass it back and forth and share my germs) and I also definitely don't want to drink alcohol - not when the only option will be Budweiser.  Bourbon I could do, but I lost my flask.

I really want to be intoxicated tonight.

Go for it.
I used to trip with a cold and usually felt better the day after, almost like the acid knocked the cold down a few steps.
And make it a fattie, you will probably be wishing you brought more with you. I know thats what happens to me when I dont bring enough.
Remember, its better to have too much with you, than not enough.

Hmmm.... really depends. Im also pretty sick (sounds like we might have the same thing that's going around) and I dosed the first night I felt pretty shitty. Was kind of an uncomfortable evening where I ended up focusing a lot on my runny nose and being unable to fall asleep. Wasn't too fun, but I had also tripped the day before and was not having a real roller coaster ride, just sort of an inward focus on my symptoms. If you are going out to a concert with a friend etc, itll prob be fine. I might even think that a higher dose would do you better, so you are distracted from your symptoms instead of being more aware of them...

To clarify, I dont think it will actually impact your physical sickness in any way. You wont feel better because of it, and it certainly wont make you feel more sick... like most things with L and other entheogens, it will merely shift your perspective on your current state...

Eh, I'm not sure what the OMR definition of weak is. Is it like 2 drops of wash at a Bassnectar show weak?

When I do a decent dose of acid it drains me physically, which almost definitely lowers the immune system. I feel very exhausted once its done and usually sleep for a long time. Perhaps it's different for me because of health issues, but I wouldn't do it.

Nah, this is a hit of the white-on-white that has been going around for a few years. It's only "weak" compared to the liquid I've been rocking all year.  It probably wouldn't seem "weak" to most people, however next to the liquid, it's like a multivitamin. :tongue:

odd... only time it seems to affect me that way is when I'm
running around half nekkid in december and usually it's just
the sniffles for a couple days
