everyone that says that then lives in it regrets it. I live in Ohio lot of people from Florida come up here and hate it even though it's much cheaper here.

It's true, the worst aspect of snow is driving around in it. Even if you were confident about steering your vehicle about in the snow you'd still have to worry about other people slippin' and spinnin' out into you.
I lived in florida for 18 years, and after having been exposed to 4+ winters, I can say that it slowly looses it's novelty and starts to become a drag. Psychedelic experiences in the snow can rekindle any wonder that once was. Or a happy, memorable, human experience like snowboarding or having a snow-ball fight with others can really make you appreciate the natural phenomenon.

But on the idea of elderly people dieing while shoveling snow, I'd just like to point out that as many if not more elderly people die from heat exhaustion. So, it's better to say that the very young and very old die from 'extreme' conditions, no matter what side of the spectrum.

it was forecast to possible snow here in the valley floor of cali. i wish it does, it only comes around every 5 years.

no, just out in the middle of the desert. theres thousands of acres for sale in New Mexico for around $50 a acre. you could use solar panels, try to make the land arable and cook meth.

I am a weather fanatic and have been watching this...Not sure how far south it is actually going to snow though over the next few days, i would say mainly north of Sacramento, areas south like Stockton/Modesto might get some rain/snow mix over night or early morning. But the lower foot hills are going to get dusted for sure.

We actually get a chance of snow here in the central valley at least once a year, doesn't happen every time but we get the chance. This is the earliest in the season i have ever seen it happen though.



I do want to live where it snows some day just because i absolutely love the snow and cold weather, and i really wouldn't mind the issues like driving and snow shoveling. But it is pretty alright here in the valley, don't have to deal with the probs that snow can bring and i can drive 1 1/2 hour away and be in 4 feet of powder.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!
4+ winters in 18 years then it's no wonder people in flordia can't drive in snow. Here in New England we have enough plows and sand trucks to deal with it and enough experience driving in it to avoid being a human pinball.
Not to say accidents don't happen but you learn to deal with it or you stay inside.
