So has anyone had any decent success yet? Up here in Scotland it is uncharacteristically dry and there are very few mushrooms growing in general. I remember this time last year they were virtually carpeting the ground!

Dammit I hope it rains soon! I've found a very few liberty caps, but I was really hoping for much more success by now. :frown:

8th of october and still hardly any liberty caps can u belive it!!!
i've been three times now (locally in the midlands) and only found around a hundered shrooms crappy or what, when's it going to rain please!!!

If you think its dry up there you should see the ground down here in the London area :frown:  Found my 1st Liberties of the season last Sunday,only around 30 or so compared to the 500+ per day last year.Hopefully as soon as the rain does come they pop their little heads up in droves :smile:  Am checking again tomorrow,hopefully with more luck......Peace

I also found my first lot on the weekend. Not very many, but they are around. We need some rain down here in the South.

I must have got about 100 in all so far this year (SE Scotland) due to the unusually dry autumn. The thing that worries me is that the first hard frosts are due pretty soon, and that'll be the end of the season, before it really even got started:(
