lmao, its a global positioning system, of course there is a fucking tracking device in it.

however, i doubt that they are going to try really hard to track you down for a $100 dollar gps unit

peace

im sure if someone wanted to find it they could track it by the serial number imbedded in the outgoing gps tracking signal

For real, what kind of question is that?!  I'd be worried if it DIDN'T have a tracking device in it.   I dunno though, if someone reported it stolen they might be watching it's ID but if it was stolen from a store it was probably just written off as shrink and is dust in the wind.

As far as I know, GPS devices receive signals they do not send them.

If you jacked it from a retailer its likely they will just mark one unit unallocated. They'll probably just blame it on the company that sent it to them. It happens.

GPS works by both sending a receiving times encoded in signals to locate how far from a given satellite you are

GPS does not send signals.  It does not have a tracking device in it.
