They are parts of normal human life, but are often irrational.

Do you have a lot of run-ins with the Christian community? I'm from an atheist family and in general, do not experience religion beyond my own choices to do so. Why are you being caused such grief?

Yes, pretty much everyday of my life.  I have to live with my psychotic catholic grandma who tells me I'm stupid for not beleiving in god and that I will be in for a rude awakening when I die.  And that I'll go to hell for bing sinful.  All that crap...

I was raised by this bitch and which is probably one of the main reasons for my apathy.  I should have moved out by now but I have nobody to help me finacially and I have social problems as well..:nonono:  I should be able to move out soon when I start my second job.

I've found it's better to simply avoid discussing the topic with family members.

Dayum. Sorry man, that sounds horrible. I was brought-up by a genuinely atheist family, that didn't knock religion so much as they didn't adhere to any doctrine. I was lucky enough to have the liberty to decide for myself.

Find a job and move the fuck out of there. Sounds like a huge hinderance.

uhh a one bedroom apartment is no less than $1100 a month for rent.  So add utilities and food that's about $1500 a month. 

If I want to live in the ghetto with the blacks then no less than $900 a month for rent for a piece of shit 1 bedroom apartment.

You're not a closed unit from the rest of the world; the whole is an interacting system.  Commit suicide if you will, but recognize that you're only inflicting more of the pain on others that you're currently trying to escape.


What if someone doesn't have any friends and they hate their family because they have caused a lot of their suffering (as in my case)....


Or what if they just don't give a shit how other people feel I know I wouldn't, it doesn't really matter that's life move on or fuck off ya know.

Couldn't one argue that those who would rather he continue to suffer than endure the grief that would result from his death are equally, if not more selfish?

Another common sentiment that I take issue with is the idea that suicide is "a cowardly act."  I don't want to promote or glorify suicide, but, all things considered, it's actually pretty fucking brave.

They would probably argue that it's "the easy way out" and that it's more brave to work your ass off, grow old, and deal with life.
