Ritalin and drug test?

ritalin, methylphenidate, is NOT an amphetamine but i hear its a CNS stimulant. on erowid it said it is not tested for on standard or extended drug tests but i thought it would show up as amphetmaine?becasue it is similar to adderall or somethin. someone helpe me out.

If you're being tested and it is in your system just say you have mild ADD or something

No, it's not an amphetamine. It's a different drug. However, I think even some standard drug test for it as an amphetamine/stimulant because it is abused just like adderall. Others don't, though. Unless you know exactly what test they're giving you, there's no way to say for sure, which is as bad of an answer as being told yes.

It could show up. Because you will be at a lab, and they may choose to test for it.

But usually the workplace is just worried about illicit drugs, and you can simply say I took some ritilan recently, but I threw out my empty bottle and don't plan to take it anymore...If they ask about it. Doubt they will. Mine just asked me why I tested positive for opiates, and I said my back and I was prescribed to it...They said okay just be sure you have the bottle next time if we test you.
