Any locksmiths in the house

My buddy locked himself out of his place, just a turnstyle knob and lock. We tried the creditcard, screwdrivers, butter knives, all that and it just wont open!:confused: Anyone have any tips or advice?

its an appartment complex thats probably about 20 years old, the windows are lock from the inside.

If it's an apartment they might have 24hr maintenance emergency for this sort of thing

being an apartment ar that are it probably has metal framed
windows, he may be able to flip the window locks with the
butter knife... slide it between the upper and lower halves
of the window and push against the lock... assuming it has
one like one of these

there's another variant for newer windoes, same principal though

Drill out the keyhole, or take a pair of vice grips and lock onto the base of the knob and pop the lock.

Of course you'll have to replace the lock in both of these scenarios, but you won't be sleeping in your car:shrug:

monkey grips twist those door knobs off in 5 secs if all else fails

you could try bumping the lock.

But you have to make a bump key.

I dont think he's gonna manage those on short notice having just a credit card and a butter knife

Hes unfortunatly resorting to the authorities to help him out,...who unfortunatly as of just now are unable to help and only suggest breaking the window.:thumbdown: Thanks for the help guys, I think hes just gunna crash on our floor and talk to the landlord tomorrow,.....never mind he just opened it with his old high school ID.:crazy: thanks

My granddad has a trailer and when he locked himself out he took the door off the house from the outside haha. Frame and all.
