its a good idea man, you dont have to cut someone in on your cultivating when you go on vacation.

that is one of the main reasons i built this. I went on vacation for an extended weekend and when i came back the humidifier had run out of water in 4 days, or had run itself down below the operating level...so i started thinking about how i could fix this, since thanksgiving is only a few days away i could use a "babysitter" of sorts

Nice write up and design.  I had been looking into doing something similar for quite a while.  I just wasn't ready to spend the cash on all the components considering it wasn't all that much trouble for me to manually refill.

Then I remembered a little project we did back in chemistry class in high school using vacuums and shit and I thought of how it could be applied and came up with a really low tek way of getting the coolmist to auto-refill.

The write up is down in my signature, you should check it out.  That cost me next to nothing.  Once I set up my humidifier on the right on/off time cycle it lasts about a month with that reservoir and would last longer with a larger reservoir.  Very few components can fail and it doesn't need any power.

I think it just goes to show where there's a will there's a way.  Either way, both of us now have the luxury.

oh contra ire... airplanes wouldnt fly if they werent perfect

Define perfect. All a plane really needs to fly is a set of wings in the shape of an aerofoil and a working engine.

An interesting setup though.
