i was reading a review from a test driver. he said the car pulls so hard, its almost more than his body can take. thats a pretty impressive statement.

Jesus, that second vid makes it sound like a jet is buzzing the camera. That's awesome though. They topped the Veyron by 2mph.

It's like when fighter pilots go into a positive or negative G turn and they either black out or red out depending on which way all the blood in your body is forced.
It'd be awesome to make a car that could cause you to black out on launch.
Oh and the Ultimate Aero TT apparently recorded a top speed of 257mph, 3mph more than the Bugatti Veyron. It may not seem like much, but it takes a tremendous amount of power and aerodynamics to make up for that extra 3mph at those speeds.

I wonder how it would feel to go 300+ mph in a car. I've been over 480mph in a Cessna Citation, but that's entirely different.
I guess it would be like Richard Hammond from Top Gear driving that Jet engine powered Vampire when he hit about 320mph on a run.
But then on the second run there was a tire blowout and it sent him plowing through the grass upside down at over 250mph. Thank god he recovered from that severe brain trauma.
On second thought, I'm probably fine not going 300mph....

I've been 215mph on a 1/4 mile run, that was plenty, I dont need more than 200mph

that was a pretty horrific crash.
going too fast to be able to control a vehicle doesn't sound like much fun.

ive been about 240(?) in a 1200hp '67 camero rss. the car had to be downgraded to 600 hp b/c something broke everytime it ran. too much power to be contained.

93 Pris, 215 in the quarter is a low- mid 6 pass. How did you get access to something that is that quick?
The land speed record is'nt held by an electric car btw. It's by a rocket car and well over 700mph last time I checked.
All those ultra fast production cars are aerodynamically designed for the speed. Going fast in a car not made for those speeds is ultra scary. Like 240(though I'm a bit skeptical of that- musta been some super tall gearing) in a "67 camaro would be near-suicide. Even my '74 bug @125 is ultra scary, especially with a heavy wind! 93 93/93

BBCA, it was an epic crash that put Hammond in a hospital for (IIRC) 6 months.
