Camera transfer question, for you photography guru's.

#9249007 - 11/15/08 02:33 PM (17 years, 11 months ago)

Alright you guys, i just got a Nikon D300 with an 18-200mm lense.
Its a badass camera, i absolutely love it, its actually 12.5 Megapixels.

It didnt come with any cords though and i've already taken numorous pictures.
When i go to the electronics store i get mixed answer's (idiot answers) for what i need to upload high quality pictures to my laptop.

It has a regular 5Pin output, and an HDMI output.
Now what im wondering is, should i get a 5Pin to USB to upload my pictuers.
or should i get an HDMI to USB cord to upload my pictures? i dont know if there is any quality difference.

Also, some of the cords that fall in this category are "firewire" and im wondering if this has any effect on not only speed of the up load, but picture quality on the computer as well.

I just want to be able to upload my pictures at the highest quality to my computer.
and im stuck inbetween the regular 5Pin to USB, or HDMI to USB, what works good for a decent price?

Thanks

L_D
