what are your thoughts on this? upcomming altercation heresay.

SOOOO......  i was talking to my boss the other day on break and we were just bullshitting about whatever, and then a commercial came on for mccain or something and we got onto the subject of war and etc.,  and he got to talking about his brother in law, who is apparently  pretty high up in the military chain.  he is supposedly general petraeus's right hand man.  my boss has seen his top secret clearance identification, and he said 90% of the time he leaves on military business he isnt allowed to talk about where or what he does, his office is in the pentagon, and apparently he is privy to alot of stuff that most of us arent aware of until after it happens.  my boss said that he will say little things here and there, about as much as he can say without risking his job and freedoms, my boss said that he has mentioned several things that came to happen after he mentioned them, like iraq, afganistan, the last israeli/palestine/syria war. 

he told me that about a month ago they were bullshitting over some beers and his brother in law looked him straight in the eyes with a stone cold serious face and said "watch iran.  something BIG is going to happen soon with iran." 

and thats all he could say.


my boss isnt the type to lie or say shit just to say it.

thoughts?

I'd say that if make it to being "general petraeus's right hand man" you don't let national secuirty secrets slip "over a beer".

Plus I bet if you got him fucked up enough and on the subject he might spill more information.  you should pitch that to your boss......

yes well, that's hardly a national secret.  You'd have to blind deaf and dumb (or just American) not to see the conflict developing and understand the implications.  It's the same with ever major military conflict in the last 100 years.  Starts with some saber-rattling, then some insults, then some abusive treatment followed by war.  God-damnit

i do too. i really dont think we can afford war with iran. it will be a serious mistake in judgement by our government.

but unfortunately, i have a feeling we will. all of the talk around the world, and all of the comments from our government, israel and more seem to lean towards it.

nothing sensitive was said. all he said was "watch iran closely".    basically just a warning that something sometime relatively soon will happen.
