Wisdom teeth coming out....need to get high...=(

so in a half hour i will be driving out to my dental office to get my wisdom teeth removed. im not too worried about it, its just i really enjoy smokin weed. i smoke every day for a few years now its just something i enjoy to do haha. but you know how they say you shouldnt smoke because you might get dry socket? is it the actual smoke that causes the dry socket or the sucking action? i have a nice phx bong to rip and im wondering if i can get away with a rip or two without gettin myself into trouble

You'll regret it.

I'd suggest just laying off of it for a bit:shrug: If you have been smoking daily for a few years, I'm sure your body could use a break anyway. If you decide that you dont want to take a break from getting high, you could always go with edibles, or a hot knife.

But you've heard the warnings, so don't go complaining when you fuck shit up by smoking during the healing process.

My advice is, if you must have cannabis, cook brownies. Though, if you're like I was, the attachment is probably more to the act of ripping the bong. In which case, exercise some fucking willpower and do what's best.

Or don't. (But see above.)

im pretty sure its the smoke that irritates the sockets. i think its the heat not the pressure that fucks them up, could be wrong though.

well i just got back...and right now i have a shitload of gauze in my mouth right on the holes...i think im gonna rip it rightnow with the gauze covering the open wounds...

but what i dont understand is..they say you can eat, right? wouldnt that fuck up the blood clotting in the incision too?  i can eat, but i cant sneak in a bong rip? lol

So enjoy your pot. I hope it's worth it.

However, FOOD does not cause cotton mouth. It's the dryness of your mouth that is the problem, not particulate interference.

I hope you get away with it, but I wouldn't count on it.

I didn't know about the dry socket thing. I smoked right through the healing of my two wisdom teeth surgeries and an apex resection. All three healed over just fine. Guess I was lucky.

well, i am very ignorant...but atleast im willing to admit it.

when i came here to post this thread i geuss sublliminally i was really just looking for excuses, or people to tell me its okay. regardless, i was always going to smoke lol. call me an idiot, i am one. ill admit that to. but i figure, if i can eat and  do all this other shit, i can also smoke a few bowls. i tried to do it gently in a manner that would not put somuch pressure on that spot. i just milked my bong real nice and slow. ill let you guys know my fate  for future reference :evil:

when I had all 4 wisdom teeth taken out, I tried to smoke ONE bongload, lightly.

I was WRITHING in pain for 2 days from dry sockets until the weekend ended, and then begged my dentist to prescribe more percocet.  I felt a lot better, of course, but I was still in pain ... =\
