Vision with closed eyes while tripping?

During my first trip I was able to close my eyes and view the room around me, other people, objects moving, what was on TV even. Granted this the world was in a sort covered in a green/black grid but I could still make out details. And yes I felt to see if my eyes were in fact closed. Anyway, has anyone experienced anything like this while tripping?

on a heavy molly trip, everything was electric blue when i closed my eyes it didnt last too long tho as by the second swing it was all kalidescopes and fractals.

im sure your brain remembers objects/takes in input but the clarity i saw has to be seen, no one around me particulary got the first effect, but i have a low tolerance for things as it is

Not on psychedelics, but DPH gives me this effect.  Very cool to see your brain's internal model of reality portrayed in front of your eyes.

It use to happen to me everytime i came up on DXM, as i was entering the dissasociative state, i closed my eyes and it was as if i had no eye lids, i saw the room and everything in perfect detail even moving my head things would adjust -real hallucinations.. or like cypher said your brains internal model of reality. Amazing
