McCain: Skipping out on Letterman to chat with Couric

I find this absolutely ridiculous. Yesterday (if you have not heard already), McCain had a scheduled an appearance on the late show with David Letterman, but canceled at the last minute, stating that he was about to get on a plane to Washington in order to, i guess, save the country from the recent financial meltdown. In reality, as Letterman finds out on the air (Kieth Olberman stood in as a guest), it turns out that McCain was literally blocks away doing a show with Katie Couric.

If this, among the other blunders of the McCain campaign, does not blow your mind then something is wrong. People should be fucking screaming.

I thought he had to be in Washington to help with the bailout!  I thought his campaign was suspended!  I guess he had time to make a quick stop to do a little more campaigning.  Politicians disgust me.

good for him then, he knows his priorities and the people watching youtube to see his blunders are the minority he could give a fuck about.  think obama doesnt have his priorities either?  how about his speeches from the late 90s?  contradictions in every sentence.  im not saying mccain is the saint and savior, im saying you sound like an idiot for judging a candidate on something so trivial and stupid.  judge him on something like that and you sound uneducated and petty

Worthless sheep huh?  Well, I've been working my whole life to help people and to make a positive change in the world.  I'm an attorney who spends most of his time defending clients that no one else wants to defend.  In my free time I volunteer at a high school to get kids interested in a career in law; I've even helped a few kids, who never thought they would go to college, go to college.  So no, I'm not a "worthless sheep"; I think I'm helping to improve things.

What are you doing with your life to make a difference that's so special?  You're probably sitting behind your computer getting high and doing absolutely nothing to make even a small change in the world.  So don't you call the OP or myself worthless sheep because we're discussing the political campaign.  Thanks.

Calm yourself down.  No one's judging McCain over this misstep alone (and yes, lying to get out of your obligations is a misstep, there's no reason he couldn't have told Dave the truth).  It's the whole collection of missteps.

What's more, you assume that just because we're laughing at McCain, we're not laughing at Obama.  There are plenty of independent folks hear who laugh at all sides equally.  Obama and Drunkie Joe are just as silly as McCain and Lipsticked Pitbull.

Yeah I saw that on Keith Obberman how Letterman basically ripped him a new one gets what he deserves for this publicity stunt that is the suspension of his campaign what a joke!!!!!
