In 20 years I think HIV will essentially be a non-issue.  Already, with a good drug regimen and healthy lifestyle HIV is almost a "manageable" disease.

Look at Magic Johnson, he was diagnosed about 1992.  He looks healthy as a horse.  HIV probably won't impact his final life expectancy very much at all.

16 years later we have better drugs, and better detection methods.  Even now, if a very healthy person is diganosed early, with some effort they will barely experience any adverse effects from HIV.
