Dating and work analogy

Dating/working similarities

I've noticed some similarities between dating and looking for work.

When you're out of work and your bills are stacking up; or for whatever reason, you need work. You become desperate and will take any work you can find. So, you take the first job you're offered. Only, you're still looking for a better job. Looking for something you could become a career. I've seen it over and over.

When you don't have a girlfriend or whatever, it's easy to treat it as you would desperate looking for work. It's sad and rude, for both the person you decide to start seeing, or the shity job you've taken, but also demeans yourself... your character.

Suppose you don't have to work. If you did take a job, it would be a job well worth your time... pay? who cares. It would be something you enjoyed. Basicly it would be something really special. A job that would be difficult to call work.

Thinking and feeling this way about both work and relationships have brought me more peace of mind and quality of life than anything else.

I work because I enjoy it and I feel needed there. I get a good boost from it. I don't look for a better oppurtunity now, but I will always want to expand and improve. Colleagues become family. It's an awesome thing.

I'm single, and am completely happy. I'm not looking, but my eyes are open. She'll have to be something special to pull me away from chosen 'unemployment'. lol

Cut the all the bullshit, have fun, work, and play hard. Just make her smile.

I agree, despite the implied contradiction in your last sentence.
