Trip Cartoons?

I was trippin at a friends house years ago and we were watching a cartoon that blew my mind..  It was def a LSD type cartoon (not one that just seemed to be).  The only part I remember is that there was a little boy and a girl falling from a ledge to certain death until a giant butterfly swooped up and saved em and this line resonates in my head "it's our friend the butterfly".  I'm hoping someone has seen this before.

If anyone has any idea what cartoon this is please let me know.

And if anyone knows of some cool trippy cartoons please share.

i was at home one day and my younger brother was watching cartoon network or something and there was this show where these kids are trying to save the world from these giant mushrooms that were about to release a shit ton of spores and spread their "evil" but one of the kids threw his nasty, smelly shoe down the throat (stem) of the master shroom and all the mushies shrivled and died.  it was a sad moment for me

My favorite stange trippy cartoon is Xavier : Renegade Angel... very, VERY strange.

It's unwatchable to some, if not most people. :shrug:

Also, we used to watch a crazy show called "Super Milk Chan".

Are you sure it was a little boy and girl? I know of a cartoon with the same thing happening, only they we adults. Anyways, what I'm talking about is Bill Plympton's I married a strange person. Definitely worth checking it out, as well as his other cartoons. :thumbup:

Miyazaki is great you should check out Nausica, and Princess Monanoke

My favorite Trip Cartoon- Fantastic Planet It's a French Psychedelic Toon first time I saw it I was trippin too hard to realize I could put it in english I thought it only came in french but it still flowed and got every bit of feeling across...a fucking crazy psychedelic cartoon def. check it out

I love cartoons while tripping old favorites include Fritz the cat/ rock & rule/ heavy metal/ and Fantasia. Newer great trip toons include original Ren & stimpys/ super jail/ & metalocalypse.
