Saw MMJ Last Night
    #8968440 -

oh man, i can't believe what i've been missing these last couple of years. Twas at the Greek in LA, beautiful venue with an early curfew. They went on at 8, no opener, and played straight till 10 and did a 20 minute encore after.

they played mostly evil urges stuff but it was still fckn badass. i was a bit weary of the album upon initial hearing of it compared to their older sound, but i caught on to it and this show sealed the deal.

what an amazing band, definitely check them out if they come around!

One of the best live bands around today, by FAR.

Acid doesn't give you truths; it builds machines that push the envelope of perception. Whatever revelations came to me then have dissolved like skywriting. All I really know is that those few years saddled me with a faith in the redemptive potential of the imagination which, however flat, stale and unprofitable the world seems to me now, I cannot for the life of me shake.

Genre shmenre..

They're Tennessee rockers with one foot in Neil Young and the other in the Band and various tentacles in hard driving rock and roll. They're amazing.
