Arizona MMJ
    #20031266 -

Hey Pub, I have a question for any Arizona-ites that may be here. I've been contemplating getting an MMJ card for a while now. I know I'd be a shoe-in for it as I have several qualifying conditions, but I haven't been to a doctor since I was a kid. So a doctors appointment and diagnosis is definitely where I would need to begin. Arizona is a bit more stringent on its MMJ laws than some other states, but I was wondering exactly how difficult it is. How long would I need to have my diagnosis on record before I would be able to qualify for MMJ? I don't imagine I could go from a doctor's appointment straight to an MMJ doc and get my recommendation.

Interested in hearing any experiences or advice from other shroomerites. Any input is appreciated!

For me, I had a pre existing condition, so I had documentation for years, and then I needed a referral, I knew my dr would say no so i went to some sketchy chiropractor (even tho my issue wasn't back related or anything) i even told the Dr my issue and he was like 'so...your back never hurts because of it?' and im like 'dude, no, im just nausea's a lot from it, im not in pain'

i left with a referral for a MMJ card with some paper work stating I had fucked up back discs and shit lol i couldn't believe it when I read it.

but i think you have to have your issue for at least a year before you can just go get a referral. I think. Google it, or call a MMJ doctor and ask.

You're not going to get one in Arizona unless you're dying of cancer or have aids. Seriously, you're not. Don't bother if you aren't.

I know that's not true because a lot of people are using the chronic pain requirement as a loophole to get the card. Seems to be the easiest way in for most people, just need a doctor to put it in the books.

Nice, yeah I know of a few docs around that are willing to just write up recommendations as long as one has a qualifying condition. Sketchy is a good term for them though lol.

I've tried googling around to see what the 'appropriate' amount of time would be but I seem to get some conflicting advice on that one and some of that info seems to be state specific. I hadn't thought to actually call up an MMJ doc though, lol. However I did find one good resource, so thanks for the heads up on that.

Email one. There's quite a few, you don't actually have to SPEAK to someone on the phone to ask. But, I do believe you have to have records within the past year to be eligible.

Yeah I guess you just have to find a doctor who will prescribe it for whatever reason. I have a friend who got a prescription for "chronic pain" because he broke his dick once and he brought the medical records saying he still had pain. Even though he was already healed and didn't have any pain.

Found one and did just that. Seems legit enough. At least as legitimate as someone who prescribes schedule one substances can be I guess. I forgot that I do have some medical records from a hospital visit last year that would qualify me.

I'm starting to get the impression that Arizona's MMJ requirements aren't quite as strict as they seem at first lol :bigblunt:
