Possibly getting a MMJ card this week, looking for your opinions

I am a student in San Francisco and I have been diagnosed with depression and am currently taking lexapro to treat it. I also have unbearable insomnia and have not gotten a good nights sleep in months, and I have developed serious problems concentrating in school due to the combination of depression and insomnia. I have set up an appointment for thursday and I am just curious what you guys think my chances are at getting my card.

He's prescribed lexapro for depression, so he's good to go. If you don't have any medical records or prescriptions they will still give you a card but tell you it is "temporary" and to bring in the records next year. If you don't have them a year later the will say the same thing. It's all about the money. These doctors are making a shitload of cash giving out these cards. If you have the money, you will get the card. Period.

that's it. I'm moving to cali.

I was prescribed anti-depressants when I had a stressful job that caused anxiety attacks. I got another job not even 2 weeks after getting the prescription, and amazingly my anxiety hasn't been back. On the bottle it was a year's worth of refills. I never even finished the first one. but I don't think they need to know I never refilled them, just that I was diagnosed and prescribed them.

do you have to be a resident of california?

what do you guys think my chances are?

I have chronic asthma. As a kid I was hospitalized many many times, passed out many many times due to lack of oxygen.. I was using my inhaler a minimum of 5 times daily, usually closer to 10 or more doses daily. I've been on preventatives and all sorts of shit to control it but nothing has really helped much, plus I hate the negative side effects of inhalers and the like. I started smoking pot at age 16, only medicinal grade herb, and within 10 seconds I could breath better than I could ever before. One bowl would relieve my asthma for about half a day. Now, after years of smoking, I use my inhaler about once a week. However, when I take breaks from smoking, I find myself using my inhaler much more.

think I stand a chance?
I've read a few scientific/medical reports of positive bronchiodilation effects from cannabis use.

Dude, like I said, if you have $150 your chances are 100%. Just say you have depression, migraines, and/or insomnia. It doesn't matter if you really do or not.

And I can't help but ask, why do you have a pic of Fast Eddie in your avatar? Do you have any idea who he is? I assume you don't or you wouldn't have him as your avatar. If you have done any of the major tours in the last 15 years you would know that he got busted for LSD many years ago and now works as a narc for the DEA. He has immunity and still tours and hooks up the L but has a quota to meet and helps make big busts all the time. He's a shady piece of shit. Just thought you should know.

Do you actually have to mention "pot" or something? I mean, what if you go overboard and the doctor takes you real seriously and prescribes prozac or something? If they only prescribed marijuana, they would very likely get shut down no?

They only prescribe marijuana. After you get your card you walk into the next room and buy all the herb, edibles, and vaporizers that you want. The Doctors recommendation was to always use a vaporizer.

Yeah that is about what the price is. Fucking rip off. I never buy from there. The street price for top quality bud is $40/8th here, way lower of course if you buy ounces. IMO the only reason to get the card is so you can grow with less anxiety.

Depends on who you are, eveyone's different. All I know is a little vitamin THC beat out everything those idiots tied giving me for depression, anxiety, whatever.
