closet setup question
    #896246 - 09/20/02 09:19 PM (22 years, 4 months ago)

My ardvark has a setup in his closet. He needs to run a fan to give his mushies some air, however,he can't run an extension cord to his closet because it would be too suspicous to the animal's father.(His mom doesn't give a rat's ass.) Do they sell any decent fans that are battery powered for this purpose?

Battery fans would be expensive to buy and maintain but fear not I have a good suggestion. Take a piece of light, stiff material, like cardboard or a book. Hold above the open fruiting chamber. Move the material up and down and up and down several times. Perform 3 times a day. See a fan with no batteries, that's what my goldfish does, I'm sure it will help you ardvark (is that like an aardvark?)

My aardvark has one of those EZ-Gro kits from Homestead.(He bought it before he was enlightened by the Shroomery.) You're not supposed to open the top and fan it,thus my question about the fan.I probably should have elaborated better. How often would one's aardvark need to change the battteries in such a fan?
And also should this stinky animal keep his mycobag in the dark?

Do what I did when I grew if you can. If you have a light already in your closet which most people do, I just took a extension cord, cut off the end that plugs into the wall, take off your light fixture and connect the extension cord wires to the right ones. I suggest you dont do this unless you have a basic knowledge of electricity and make sure you cut of the breaker to that room or closet. I then just ran the wire along the wall so unless your dad looks in the closet, he would never know.
