i wouldnt care about dog walkers either, but i wouldnt blatantly pick mush in front of the cops... i was hunting the other day and a park ranger pulled up to the park and just parked facing me. i was fucking nervous.
i was like  :whistling:

oh, sorry...nah, he just sat there in his jeep
my kids were there so i just acted like i was playing with them;)
even tho when he pulled up my face was in the grass and my kids were like 10ft away from me:tongue:
i totally stopped picking and just started interacting with my kids
then when we walked off the baseball field,he drove closer to it and parked behind the dugouts:(
ever since then ive been nervous hunting there

What happens when you get caught depends highly on your jurisdiction and your demeanor when approached.  If you smile at the cop like you don't mind him being there and you act bored like you are picking boring mushrooms it is a lot different than if you try to hide your bag when you see him and he has been watching you for awhile.

Always make sure you have more edibles than actives if you think cops might come around.
