... and completely fail to see the point of having everybody wear headphones when there's like 4 HUGE subs primed and waiting to hit everybody in the kidneys with bass sniper shots.

It's where everyone wears headphones instead of using the speakers, and can choose between 2 channels by flicking a switch.  In this case it will be a choice between us (breaks/house/DnB) and some other cunts playing indy. Fuck indy!! :mad:

dude ive been to one of these, it was called a silent rave. there was prolly like 300 peeps but it was fun as hell. plus we didnt have to worry about a noise complaint =P

The concept sounds a bit like a commuter train. Everyone wearing earplugs and somehow moving in sync (more or less), but not knowing what the fuck other people are listening to. Implementing this concept in a party is the paramount of individualization IMO.

Though I suppose not all Indie music is post rock(this "new genre" I love) and my friends and I have been playing post rock for years I suppose.
I didn't have a name for it though. We just called our songs instrumental jams.

It's funny though, when I start FaceBook pages, etc about our groups, (that's right I'm in 3 bands, aka hard as fuck) I always list the music as indie.
Because hey, it IS independent.

What's also funny is that the music no one has heard, is the music everyone seems to want more of now. Thank you internet, I knew you would do this over time.

Now if you could just put the last nail in the materialistic hip hop coffin that would be great. As if porn, torrents, map directions and science sites weren't cool enough. Tell me internet, what can't you do?

Silent disco is unimaginably fun! I tried it for my first and only time at bonnaroo '07 and I had a fantastic time. It's like some sort of weird social experiment; People moving in-sync to silence.

Fuck me that was awesome.

The other guy didn't play much indy he was playing mostly popular chart stuff on his laptop.  We were rockin the 1210's :rockon:

One of the most fun nights I've ever been to, I dropped "Killing in the Name Of" by Rage and could hear everyone singing along, "fuck you I won't do what you tell me!", was amazing.  The headphones actually had some decent bass on them too. 

By the end of the night I was so drunk I had to get carried home by a couple of my friends.  I just woke up on my fucking couch and I'm 40 minutes late for work even though it's almost 2 in the afternoon lol.  Fucking awesome night.
