trying to fine me some libs

hey im quite new to mushroom picking this year is my first, ive done alot of reading on this site and for the last week or so spent hours hunting and had no luck. yesturday i came across a nice field full of all sorts of muchrooms but i found no libs is it worth me goin bk there for another look?

no its just a grass field that looks like whoever owns it cuts it regurally i think it is an extension of somone's garden i diddnt wna go to close to find out! its quite mad the ammount of different mushrooms that are growing there tho. there is alot of pasture fields arround it but couldnt find any libs in them

animals are a myth man go back to your field and look harder i bet there are some libs there, dont look in grass thats too long its better to look on a well maintained field

it's not a myth that libs prefer to grow on grazed, well manured fields. :rolleyes:

they will grow on other maintained grassy areas and indeed in long grass but grazed pastures are much more preferable habitats.

berbonber way to be a dick with that gay little remark and what do u know saying that it a "myth" that they grow on grazed and well manured fields, cause actually that's what they do grow on and yeah they probably do grow on golf courses and cricket patches cause it well maintained and manured to get that feild.

I still can't find any, making me wonder if they are even out in the Leicestershire area yet...any1 had any luck? It's been quite hot here the past week.

Just been to my local head shop and bought "a guide to British psilocybin mushrooms" I know some info in there isn't reliable but it's a good read. :grin:

i havnt given up i found myself a field today! in about half hour got about 150 but got paranoid 2many dog walkers so goin very earli 2moro morning and goin to rape the field!

i've only looked into liberty caps what other active mushrooms r there other than fly agrics?

Don't worry about dog walkers, no one cares what you are picking off the lawn. 

Its like going into dumpsters, at first you think you need to hide but no one really gives a shit.

Just have a good mycology story ready if the cops come.  If you expect the cops might come pick all the mushrooms, not just the magic ones so its believable that you are going to go home and look them all up.

Unfortunately it's the law of the land :frown: it's a risk each time one of us goes out lib picking unless your site is secluded enough for nobody to know about and you feel safe picking.

But I can't help looking around and making sure no dodgy people are around, you never know, the next time you look around you might find yourself with a cop by your side, that's why I'm on alert, I could possibly cycle away in time :lol:

what would happen if you get caught? Would you be arrested? Gain a warrant to search your house?
