they begin in middle june ,july and stop in beggining of august , this happend almost in all mexico , the caesarea season and we call it here is very short, maybe that is one of the main reason i see some diferences for the species  in usa and in mexico , they most be close but diferent, when they make dna analisis of the species here and there maybe we can see how the philogeny  is..amanita jacksonii have lot of potencial for a edible comercial mushroom in usa i dont know why is not one. i yeah i know why mycophobia !. is`t that right señor hongos.

I think what you're trying to say is biology is your passion - all nature and everything in it. Well it's true for me anyway.

That exposition looked amazing. Do you have them often in Mexico? You've posted a couple recently, they just seem so interesting.

How'd the Ramaria taste?

Those orchids are gorgeous...and those pitcher plants...and those pine cones...and those cacti...and those GIANT Ganodermas!!! Arrghghh, stop posting so many beautiful pictures cactu, you're making me jealous!

How's the colour in that Odontoglosum hybrid? So vibrant...shame it isn't natual.

Looks like you just had an awesome day my friend. Thanks so much for sharing.

yea they make expo  in all places the hole season, it too bad i have miss many .
this ramaria have a fragrant smell  that volatile  with cooking  is a fruity smell, then the taste is like  chicken meat but  fungi at he end  but with a hard texture , more hard that the other ramaria, i can decide the  taste . is hard.
i love you like it
that is the color  i guess is natural , what you mean .i guess is a a hybrid of odontoglosum and encyclia and maybe something else.a 3 hybrid , do you mean is men made?
is still natural the combination it will take part , orchids are very interesting since they are not specified  as all other genera, they can interbreed with different genera, not only between species  even in nature, so that is just a natural way but the human do accelerate more , but still they can not predict for sure the result, but they can accelerate the reproduction of a single individual to millions in a short time, maybe 3 years or 5 to get a new hybrid.

Yes, I meant that the hybrid is made man and bred for that colour. I had no idea that they can breed between genera though. That is amazing!! They must be a taxonomists nightmare. I find orchids fascinating, especially those orchids that are mycorrhizal and have evolved to live without photosynthesis, instead "cheating" by taking sugars from trees.

That Ramaria sounds yum.

oh yeah...orchids are still developing are one of the most evolutionate plants if we can said that , i mean they are the most new creations  along with cactuces.. all other plant are more old in the evolution , so that`s why they still have not achieve yet what they are gonna be,  you see orchids some day may not interbreed with other genera and then  became a specialisation maybe that is what happend to the slipery orchids they are not orchid any more, well all organismus draw the line for quoting  senor hongos, but  orchids leave open  to evolutionate, to create new thing, why because they want to be something else, they are developing their own figure, but we are watching  the speciation that darwing and other lover of the evolution  took so much about and we humand are taking that frontier  to new  borders, more faster that nature will do it in many years, the result of that is unknow , but iam positive. did you know in the plant kindong  orchids have the most number of species , there is no ther  family of plant with so many genera and species and with the help of humand  keep , adding new species,

yes is a pain the taxonomy of orchids,  for example  sometimes is a pain to call laeliocatleyaodontoglosum name of the creator etc. they usually use a new nomenclature for the 3 way hybrid, the doble hybrid still preserve the 2 parents names.

is exciting you can name your orchids if you have a new hybrid.

I did know that there were more species of orchid than any other family of plant, but didn't know that they had evolved so recently. It is interesting what you say about that being the reason why that can interbreed amongst genera, it does make sense.

I don't see the point in creating hybrid of anything. Nature has enough beauty to satiate me, I don't think I can improve on it. Sometime hybrid are beautiful, but more often they are not. Nature is always beautiful though.

si nature  is the master , but nature is in constand change , if you stop you die , you have to evolve , sometimes that mean to get it one way or another , that why taxonomist with mushrooms have so much trouble  id new species  they are evolving i see all the time , i see many for example lactarius indigo , and i see the diferences fo rthe ones in colima  in jalisco , in quila , in la primavera, in diferent part,
well nature  create hybrid all the time ,
i bet mushrooms can  interbreed to some how  too.
bacteria are no longer wort it to be separate into genera , they can interbreed so easy that will endless combinations,

the thing about hybrid is they are satanized  by the hybrids of the green revolution , that where and are baddly created to  dominate the people .

but i know nature is perfect , no bad no good , is beyond that

Yeah, bacteria are crazy, what with there integrons and gene casettes. It's hard to wrap my head around how bacteria share their genes with one another. I particularly love the "sex pilus" that some of them have, how one bacterium extends in out and penetrates another one with it, then sucks out the others DNA and leaves it dead. Crazy!

True, everything is always evolving, but they're evolving to adapt. We pervert evolution to suit our senses or desires - i.e. we create hybrids that look nice, or taste better, or have larger yields. It doesn't really benefit the organism, doesn't infer a higher fitness, or where it does, it means it has far-reaching consequences for the ecosystem surrounding it.

But I suppose at the end of the day, we are a part of nature, we are natural and as much as I don't like it, it will continue to happen. I can only wonder what the future will hold.

what if we combine a mushrooms like that with a zapotecorum ,,,,,,
