Police Serving Burglary Warrant Arrest Teens On Drug Charges [MADISON, Conn.]

Police investigating a burglary of thousands of dollars, a safe and a gun arrested three teens on drug charges.

Monday at 5 p.m., Madison police were investigating a burglary of a local residence in which thousands of dollars in cash and a safe containing a firearm were stolen, when they served an arrest warrant on a 17-year-old as part of the investigation, police said.

While serving the warrant, police found quantities of marijuana and LSD they believed to be for sale, police said. Police arrested the 17-year-old and two additional two Madison teens.

The 17-year-old was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, fourth-degree larceny, possession of hallucinogens, possession of hallucinogens with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to sell.

He was held on a $10,000 court set bond pending arraignment in New Haven.

The 16-year-old was charged with possession of hallucinogens, possession of hallucinogens with intent to sell and interfering with police. The teen was held on a $5,000 bond pending arraignment.

The 15-year-old juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and interfering with police. The juvenile was released into the custody of his mother and was assigned a court date in New Haven Juvenile Court.
