im so sick of fucking nasty pesticide being sparyed in our public parks, its killing us, our childern, our pets, the bees and other lil animals. it spreads in the air to our surrounding homes giving us headaces, burning noses and throats.
talk about terrorism these chemicals are being sprayed all around us everyday, by our "trusted" government

I dont have an alderman
my local park has a pool, they dont use any chlorine, they have landscapers cut the grass, they dont use pesticides to kill the bugs, seems the frogs, birds and fish do their jobs

I actually kind of agree with you on this... while I still love spraying wasps with brake cleaner more than anything short of masturbation to dead midget porn, I think that if a park is supposed to be a little glimpse of nature for the city folks, then it ought to have all the bugs and pit vipers that one would encounter in a real nature setting.
And if city folks find out that nature hates them, maybe they'll be a little less inclined to bitch about their concrete jungle.

it's all good, they did a bunch of tests with ddt back in the 50's/60's (there are videos of this) where they would fumigate open areas with children eating lunch at the same time, playing on the street, or in a pool.
they all had smiles on their faces
seriously, though i am against the sprayings, but i sure as hell wouldn't complain if they sprayed for mosquitoes in my neighborhood, cause i can't walk out in my backyard (or sit in front of my house) for a minute without getting bit by one. i'm not exaggerating this at all, there's so many of them. there are no water sources around my house, and nothing puddling up anywhere. they even follow me inside sometimes and i'll be killing them throughout an evening

how accurate were these tests in 50's 60's plus it may take a few years to really effect us
well over here they fly over with planes with the mosquito stuff and drop it all over us, big time in chicago this year

sorry, it was sarcasm. those tests were atrocious, but at the time they didn't know any better and were trying to convince the public of the "safety" of ddt
they don't use planes in the city, but trucks that go around saturating everything
as far as i know, they don't spray anything where i live

My apartment complex sits right in the middle of a nature preserve (swamp).I was riding my bike home the other day, and a truck pulled off the road, and down the nature trail in front of me, I assume it was spraying pesticide, and I road directly through a cloud of it. I felt like chasing the truck down, and kicking the shit out of whoever was driving it. I had a cloud of the stuff around me thicker than morning fog.
.....careless douchebag!

I don't know where we ever got the idea that spraying the shit out of everything, literally hosing it down with toxic chemicals is a good thing. Another thing that bothers me is roadside spraying. I don't know if you have that there but if you ever drive down the highway and look at the trees and bushes near the road you will sometimes see dead, brown foliage but ONLY the edges. They spray herbicides there because they are too lazy to cut them back or mandate that property owners do so.
I picked berries a few weeks ago and came across some fantastic elderberry bushes- only thing is they were in a spray zone. What a waste of good berries. A cop also pulled up next to me and asked me what I was doing there.
Many communities also spray for mosquitoes and that shit doesn't do a bit of good.

Pesticides are terrible but that's such a huge exaggeration. Maybe pesticide spraying has killed bees, some small animals that weren't intended targets, and just maybe some cats or dogs if they somehow ingested a major dose of the poison.
But what do you mean its killing us and our children? Could you please find a case of pesticide spraying killing human beings, adult or child, and post a link? And I don't mean a pesticide chemical spill or some sort of accident, just regular spraying at normal levels.

Don't you get it? Pesticide companies make money. Add "money" to a catchphrase like "spraying to kill things in parks", and it obviously is bad. Even if there were strict, controlled tests, I mean, what would that prove?
