Scholarship! [Gloating inside]
    #8901314 -

Welp, I just got an email from the dean of my college saying I have been awarded the 08-09 yadda yadda yadda endowment scholarship!

I did not apply, nor was even aware such a scholarship existed, but apparently was chosen for my performance in my Economics classes and the Fed Challenge.

Anyways, that's $1200 into my pocket, which is why i'm so excited and gleefully typing away here on the Shroomery.

Thanks for listening, I needed to gloat.

Congrats man. It's a great feeling to get scholarships. I thought I was dreaming when I found out my grad school would be paid for.

Go celebrate!

Where do you all find your scholarships? Places like fastweb and scholarships.com give me really shitty ones that never put out.

Mine came directly from my university, not a third party.

both of my scholarships have come directly from the university aswell.

Got an academic scholarship upon my acceptance, and now this one.  I didn't seek out/search for either of them, so sadly I can't offer any words of wisdom, sorry Pyro

Some types of school are paid for.  If you go for a Ph.D. in most science disciplines, it's free and you get a stipend on top of it.
