Scholarship and drug offense

Anyway, my college tuition is almost completely covered by scholarships, no loans, just scholarships. What would happen if I got caught smoking weed or growing, would I be fucked? I have to pay less than 200 dollars a year for college and it is fucking great. If I have to stop growing and other shit, I will because I am going to be debt free after I'm done with college.

I think it depends on the situation... If it's a mistermeanor it probably won't matter... and you'd have to be convicted... so if anything does happen, get the lawyer to

a) delay the trial as much as he can

and

b) beg for probation before judgement... because technically you'd not convicted until you violate the probation

Check out the FASFA website. They go into a little more detail about the drug thing

If they are truly scholarships and not financial aid it will be up to the giver of the scholarship. If the scholarship asks permission for a crim background check, I wouldn't bother applying with a conviction.

i lost my LOANS for getting caught with 0.4g of weed. i'm sure you would lose it all. so just be careful.

Even to get a scholarship... well.. at least the ones through public schools, it has to be done through FASFA... so i'd imagine they'd be restricted to this drug clause too

Acid.. what state were you in? Is weed possesion a felony or mistermeanor there?

it was minnesota. they have relatively lax laws, so it depends on the cop. it's just a misdemeanor, but if it has anyhting to do with drugs then you lose your federal loans.

i once got caught with a half ounce, and only got charged for having 1.4g

Wow...you shouldn't get harassed at all for bud, but considering the state of our country you're really lucky. I've heard of people getting locked up for a few seeds...cultivation & distribution conspiracy charges as well as possession.

yeah, it's fucking ridiculous and makes me want to vomit.

i use marijuana as a regularmedication basically. i've been on many kinds of antidepressants for 7 years, and marijuana is what always helps me.

people say "but marijuana is a depressant", but they fail to realize that the word "depressant" doesn't mean it depresses you. just like a depression in land doesn't mean the land is sad. hahaha

Exactly, psychedelic drugs, particularly LSD have helped me work through so much shit and so many issues that I wouldn't even know where to begin describing it all; everything from anxiety/depression to opiate and coke addiction...the stuff is a gift from above, the people who work to bring it to us are incredibly loving & bright people, and psychedelics as well as those who work with them are considered evil....Blasphemy. Marijuana....as you said pot is also a great gift, ehh I'm preaching to the choir here. I think I'll just leave it at this and join you in vomitting... :puke: :thumbdown: :piggy: :thumbdown:
