dude your crazy.. ummagumma is an awsome set of cd's.. the final cut is the only floyd cd that i can say i really didnt like, they all pertty much kick ass..

Best Floyd album is Obscured by Clouds, hands down. And yes, Final Cut is whack, screw Roger Waters for that crap.

But yes, Ummagumma and Piper at the Gates of Dawn are psychedelic orgasms! To put it lightly. Any early Floyd really.

yeah its all about the early floyd. everybody knows post darkside shit like wish you were here but in my opinion that's a totally different band/sound then early floyd. speaking of which, anyone know where to find early floyd bootleg shows?

in fact when im in the wrong mood, anything done by waters (animals and especially the wall) seems so horrible. I mean I like a lot of songs from the early days that Waters apparently wrote but god sometimes he's so embarrasing. I dare you to youtube Roger Waters across the universe. You will get a good laugh and see what I'm talking about.

I was just making the point that someone is more likely to know about the late stuff rather then the early stuff. I didn't say it was a good thing or a bad thing. Also totally different sound means lots of shit. Whether it be bad or good it means something. In this case I believe it is good. Don't get me wrong 73-78 floyd is great and they're probably one of my favorite bands (at one time they were my favorite band), but the early shit is like ancient to me. That's just how I feel about it.
