Preseason football

Just pisses me off. I know you need to evaluate guys that are lower on the depth chart and all that, but how many top notch guys get cracked every year in meaningless game that honestly probably do them no real good?

Of course, fools do line up to pay full price for this crap, so I can't blame the owners for fleecing them :shrug:

every year its the same issue, it sucks! my Dallas cowboys just lost a starting offensive linemen and and two wide receivers for a few months in one fucking preseason game!

I'm down for two preseason games.  One to get the kinks and nerves out, the other to fix those first games mistakes and then the season is on.  Plus, all the local sportscasters are local for a reason, they are terrible.

And whattheheck, I don't know if you've been watching the Broncos preseason games, but whenever KCNC channel 4 does the games, it's the most quiet games I've ever heard.  They have no mics in the stands at all.  It's hilarious.  Yet the games are in HD, go figure.

Yeah, I picked up on that. It was weird. This could be a good year for Denver. I've been big on Cutler since he was in college, as long as Marshall stays out of jail.

And SD losing Merriman (sp) is a bonus.

i think the problem is they made preseason to important these days.  you see guys trying to kill the QB in a practice game.  i dunno maybe its always been like this, but practice should be about working up to the season so people don't get hurt.

I dont understand why they dont get rid of the preseason games and just add 1 or 2 more games to the regular season. Lets all be honest you can lose 6 sometimes 7 games in a regular season and still make the playoffs. So it really isnt necessary to spend 4 meaningless games getting ready for the regular season

We havent lost merriman yet. To be honest we may not lose him since this is the same injury he has had since the preseason of his rookie year. Thus far it hasnt really affected his play.

That Merriman injury is crazy.

How do you have ripped tendons in your knees and still play?

Are they SURE he's off the juice?
