God preseason football is still more exciting than soccer.

Damn, i turned on a soccer game just because it was late in the preseason game and yet somehow watching 3rd string football players in a game that has no meaning was more interesting.

btw, when will the NFL do away with preseason, or atleast shorten it to 1-2 games.. this 4 game bullshit is rediculous.

what kind of soccer were you watching? i can understand if it's mls, because the game is way too slow.

mls is like a step slower than the top tier leagues. if you watch the english premiership, la liga (spain), bundeshliga (german), or serie a (italy), then you are watching some good soccer.

i watched 15 minutes of soccer the other day and actually found amusement to it. I used to hate it but I watched it and atually enjoyed a little.

sorry, but as much as i love american football, the game moves too slow. it's 5 seconds of action, 30 of standing around, 5 seconds, 30 seconds, ect.

at least in soccer the ball is constantly moving. anyone who calls the game boring just doesn't understand it.

the execution in american football requires more teamwork than any other sport, that's what makes it soo incredible. you have to have 11 guys all pulling their weight, or a team wont be successful (11 on each side of the ball)

If I wasn't raised on the NFL, I think I'd never watch football. Even now, it has less and less appeal for me every year...

I would 100X rather watch soccer than NFL preseason...

I find watching soccer in-person to be a lot better than watching it on the Telly. Especially if it is support of your School, High School or College. Major League Soccer has never done that for me. Further watching European Soccer makes me want to BARF!!! Every time someone goes down because someone of the opposite team has collided with them and trying to draw a foul is Laughable. The fall down on their leg, get up holding their wrist crying about it to the Ref and trying to get a free kick or penalty of some sort is fucking stupid. Stop being Pussies! I like watching the Central and South American Teams much more because there is a-hell-of a lot less of that going on. They fall down and get right back up into the action.

Have you guys seen this Arena Soccer?

They have a team here in the city I go to school.

Its pretty weird. The goals are super-skinny, and there are all kinds of strange rules. Its pretty much just like Arena Football, but its soccer.

hey u have to give soccer a chance, i used to hate that shit with a passion, and im a mexican so its kinda hard to do. my uncles all get together and watch games and i used to find it boring. but then it slowly started to grow on me, and now its my fav sport. especially the international games, thank god the US basketball team is taking it more seriously...international tourneys like World Cup are a lot more exciting and interesting than national leagues.

and besides, also, every goal is like a game winning shot (atleats it feels that way). so what if in the NBA a team scores 100 points, after a while a jumpshot gets boring. but a soccer goal is always exciting cuz it rarely happens. and people complaining about low scoring soccer games shou7ld look at other sports like baseball (where the score could end 1-0) or hockey, or even football. packers beating cowboys 21-7 is just a fancy American way of aggrandizing a 3-1 victory.

besides, the commentary is emotional and not dry like in other sports.
