Free forays limited!

Regretfully, I am going to have to limit my offer of free mushroom forays. Ufortunately, too many think this means 'free, unlimited picking of magic mushrooms'. I hav been taking people on these hikes for many years and the reason is to promote our enviromental efforts on amountain known for it's vast array of fungi. The people who come are interested in the edibles, the pretty ones, the unusaul ones, they are for the most part, amateur mycologists interested in learning about all species.
These are the people we want on our walks.
Those who want to come here only for the magic mushrooms, well, you are not welcome. Needless to say the magic mushroom patches would not be patches fro long if I were to allow every Tom's Harry Dick in here to rape it.
Indeed, the magic mushrooms are not even in the forest, they are in the fields, yards and gardens of the rural area and we do not takes groups of tourists trampling through peoples yards.
Sorry, 'amateur mycologists' only are invited. 'Druggies' need not apply!

Then you shouldnt say that there are "magic" mushrooms on the trip, as you did in your other post. This is false advertisment. Even though i wouldnt have gone on your trip anyways, because i could go look around for free, let alone pay you money.
As you said "Depending on the time of year, one may see morels, pine, chanterelles and dozens of other edible, poisonous and *magical* species in thier natural habitat."
Im not trying to flame you, but dont try and take peoples money. Claiming to do one thing. Then later claim another
Thanks

Yeah i read the free part, look at the other post. Then keep your sarcasm to yourself. As i do know how to read.
"And for those of you who were contemplating spending $18,000US for a 1 Day foray of the Oregon Coast, offered by another 'vendor', pm or email me at CaptainMaxMushroom@SporeLab.com and I will piggeyback you around Mt. Elphie during peak season for only $5000CAN!"

Obviously, the offer to piggeyback someone around a mountain for $5000 is a sarcastic joke.
And you are the only one who didn't get it! LOL!!
There are many here who ARE interested in more than the one specie of mushroom most discussed here.
And some of them are on there way here, not to rape my magic mushroom patch, but to observe, learn and discuss and experience the MANY mushroom speces that are found are Mt. Elphie. And to seriously consider our enviromental efforts.
Thats what it is all about. If you are one of the 'druggies' who are only interested in magic mushooms and don't give a damn about learning about mushrooms or supporting our attempts to save the virgin areas of Mt. Elphie, then I'm glad you're not coming!

I wasnt planning on coming, nor do i care about looking for active mushrooms. So please steer your dont come comments towards someone who else whom you consider a druggie. As i did not, or did not plan to be taken on a hike looking for magical mushrooms. Anno i also apologize, for my comment, it was rude. None the less no i didnt get your joke. But im no druggie, nor did i care to take advantage of your hike, just to look for active mushrooms. If i was in the area i would go, just to look at different species though.

From what Ive read here in the past, Id say that the people who post here know a HELL of a lot about mushrooms in general. Way more than I do, and I am desperately trying.

Capt. Max....i think if you talk to these ppl long enough through emails or the phone you can tell which ppl are on your vibe and want to learn what you want to share.... just sift through the ones who are obviously looking for free psilocybe patch and nothing more. Just ask Mushroom John about that one....he has shown his patches to way to many locals and now when he goes back they are all picked out and he gets pissed .... LOL....

Sure doobie, bring your shrooms and come on up, we'll go for a hike and I'll teach you some different mushrooms. In fact, if you are around at that time, we mght even make a few bucks on pines.
Ryche, no kidding, a couple years ago I was nice enough to take some Vancouverites to my patch. The next year I caught them there. Damn Vancouverites!
There are a couple shroomerites from Winnipeg due here Sunday morning. I'll get them to post a review although it's kinda dry right now, there are lots of chanties comin up.
