Here ya go, watch all four videos. Please don't post again until you have.  This is a help forum, but the first rule is to help yourself, and then ask about what isn't clear.  Good luck and welcome,

First of all: this thread is fucking gnarly. keep up the good work guys. very informative.
Second of all: if you don't use tinfoil while sterilizing in a pressure cooker there is a chance your half-pints might get soggier than necessary. this is a very bad thing. if you're using an oven you might get away with a lack of tinfoil

sorry this is my mistake. IGNORE MY LAST POST. what i meant to say is, YES, use tinfoil. if you don't want a pressure cooker you can use a large kitchen pot or pan filled with water about halfway up the sides of the jars. but the tinfoil is important. sorry everyone it's late and i'm going to stop posting now.

if you dont have foil you'll more than likley ruin the water content of your jars.

have you started the sterilization process yet??

wait until the cakes are completely cool to the touch. i would recommend allowing at least an hour or two at least to elapse before innoculating. sounds like you're really flying by the seat of your pants here. come on guy! do a little research next time before you jump in. i would hate to see you go through all this work only to get shitty results from not enough preparation.

I'd love to see that, It'd serve him right. It would be a perfect how NOT to do guide. 5 hours ago he couldn't spell pressure cooker for Christ sake.

pftek doesnt require a pressure cooker which is why most new and veteran growers like to use this tek, it is easy to sterilize via (steaming your jars) as the videos show that RR was talking about, if your going to use other media like RYE/popcorn/wild bird seed, you will 100% need a pressure cooker to fully sterilize your substrate. good luck m8

Yeah man, for rye, or WBS you need a pc. Example: I let my rye sit for 11 day's, and I have perfect rizomorphic mycelium that I am very proud of. PC PC PC. It's worth the $60, for sure.,!!

Otherwise, as I'm sure you've read steam sterilize for 90, count it (90) min. and just like my last post 11 day's later "I first noc't them up", and now I have rizomorphs which I am very happy with.

I went from pf tek to casing rye to bulk wbs in a matter of 4 week's, and now I am just waiting. Everything is colonizing perfectly especially my WBS (5 day's to see growth). I am very excited!!!
