thread ban/block/ignore feature

Dear Ythan,et al

It would be really nice if you could block or ban certain people from posting in your threads.

It should at least block people who are on your ignore list from posting in your threads.


I had made a support ticket, but I messed it all up and used a slightly wrong email address like a fool.

This would be a nice feature. If two people are ignoring each other, why would they be posting in each others' threads?

but what happens if only one person is ignoring the other, and what if they arn't replying to the ignorer but just to someone else in the thread...i see how it could be useful but i also see how it could be abused.  this seems more like just a toy for otd...lets ignore everyone!

This would let people prevent criticism of questionable teks, ect by banning users who frequently expose problems in their ideas. If someone is trolling/flaming/ect, then mods can already delete them, but mature discussion of the pros and cons of growing techniques should never be prevented.

Sorry, to help keep the site out of the red I'm trying to cut back on my hours, and giving OTD another way to ignore people is not a priority. If you want to sponsor this feature you can do so for $200.

yeah this idea sounds good for small chat like OTD, but OTD doesnt need anything but free porn and beer, so its set for now.

and this feature would wreak havoc on the psychedelic community if it was implied in other places. even though two people hate each other doesnt mean one person isnt allowed to make comment or contribute to a thread because that person who made it doesnt like them.

if it comes to research and knowledge, get over your bickering :smile:

Well hell, I guess I see what everyone else is saying. But maybe we could just put this feature on the community forums


But yeah, I hear ya about not wanting to fuck around doing work for free. And being somewhat of a cold capitalist myself, your cold capitalism really speaks to me.

I'll see if I can get a fundraiser fund going for this feature
