Going camping with my GF - Where is good for Amanita/Datura hunting?

Me and my girlfriend are going on a 4 day camping adventure.  She likes to hike.. look at flowers and Identify plants.

I wanna hump in the woods, do drugs run around naked and find drugs on the ground.

Ontario/Quebec boarder is where we live.

Anyone suggest any good areas that would be good for Isolation and finding amanitas(pine forests) and Datura(or Brugmansia).  I plan to collect a few specimens of datura to grow at home and use small bits to smoke and experiment(in tiny doses).

I do Psilocybe Mushrooms too. 

For the trip I have 5-meo-mipt and 4g's of cubes.  Plenty of pot...  Oh and REALLY good dark roast coffee

I wish I had some Kava for the late nights settled at the fire. 

I want to collect and dry my own Amanitas.... as well find a species of Datura to clip and grow at home (they are gorgeous).  I will likely smoke some leaf and perhaps brew a VERY light tea to attempt inducing some vivid dreams.  Not during the camping trip...  After I get home.

PS - I would trade just about anything to have some Kava on this trip.

No Online companies I could find will ship to Canada..

i would really suggest against using aminitas and burgmansia, but if you must do it visit erowid and read.

What, are you just trying to pick the worst possible drugs you can get? You couldn't pay me enough money to do Datura. And to get me to try Amanita, it's have to beat at least $100.

Horrible decision making skills with your drug choices.

Obviously I haven't read the entire Erowid site...  But I've read plenty.  I was kinda making fun of you. 

I've honestly read about 90% of the info and reports available on Datura.  I have talked to many people who have done it themselves.  I have even seen people who were in a datura delerium and talked to them after. 

It can be dangerous, sure.  But it's also a beautiful plant and has a Loooong history of human use for various purposes.. From asthma remedy to zombifier.

Small amounts of dried leaf mixed with MJ and smoked is not likely to kill me at all. 

A diluted tea made from a small amount of plant material when taken with an informed sitter, just to be safe, is not likely going to be a dangerous event.

If I chose to cultivate the plant and taste little bits and pieces then it is my own problem.

I am 30 years old.  I am not throwing 300 seeds into my weed grinder and throwing down the dust for a Cheap Legal High while huffing gas outa my parents lawn mower.

I don't expect you to fully understand...  But Aya-type visions of spirits and the godlike shit scare the hell out of me way more than snakes, spiders, delusions of blood and guts. 

You don't know at all what my decisions are based on, therefore you can't judge them.

I appreciate your delicate mothering...  but.

If you have info(pine forest locations, near-by temperate zones), please relate.  If not...  Well I appreciate the warning.

Alright man, just so long as you know the potential outcomes of each. We get a lot of people here who just see it as an easy high and aren't nearly prepared for the risks and experience involved.

Whatever you do, be safe and don't end up naked and bleeding in the back of a cop car.

I'm very lucky to have an understanding GF who watches me do this mad shit to myself.

She doesn't do any drugs but is well versed on sitting procedures. 

If I end up in a Cop car it'll be for my own good. 

For the Kiddes out there - Datura is the fucking mad demon of the drug world.

It can kill you easily if you aren't RIDICULOUSLY careful and knowledgeable. 

Even so, I am taking a large risk... and I don't plan on it being 'fun' or a 'good' time.

man, a little goes a long way, Datura potency can vary much more greatly per plant than with other substances.  Not worth the risk to me :shrug:

To get to your original question:  In PA(obviously might be different for your area), I've only found both datura stramonium and muscaria var. guessowii in very residential areas.  I really think both like to "show off" for the world to see, and not hide in forests.  And trust me, I've searched high and low for muscaria in the woods, only to find poisonous amanitas.

I can tell you that muscaria likes healthy looking, middle sized pines that are close together.  I've always found them in residential neighborhoods, especially near small bodies of water(like a large man made pond).  The only place I've found datura has been on the outer edges of a farm(corn field).  They only grew near the roadside, not in the middle.  Must be something with the exhaust deposits or something.  I heard they like railroad tracks too.  Once, I walked along one for a few miles to look, only to end up constantly flicking ticks off myself!!

why don't you just buy datura seeds, man? they are easy to grow, and they grow like everywhere..not to mention they're pretty and smell good. and deer don't eat them.

Here in the central valley of California the datura is one of the most common weeds growing along the roadways and levys.
IF it were of ANY recreational value, people would be picking them all the time. As far as I know NO ONE even touches these things. They stink like dirty dogs feet.

If fucking Castaneda had not written so many LIES about the datura, I doubt anyone would even think twice about them.

Too many kids desperate to get high read Castaneda or some derivative and can't wait to fly or meet dead friends or what the fuck ever.

They are poison.

Forget Datura.

I hope haven't been ambiguous about this.

Oh, and I just went back and read the post that said datura smells good.
