Brown streaks are not contamination. They are found on most strains of cubensis and the "Golden Teacher" is even named after the golden-brown streaks that run along the sides.

where do people get this crap ?
make it up as they go along ?
golden teacher is named for the cap color, and if grown correctly will not have brown streaks up the stem.
the only time one sees brown streaks is in water-logged shrooms.
bacteria dwell in the surplus water and discolor the shroom.
the bacteria die off when the shroom is dried.
the bacteria seems otherwise to be harmless and i've eaten a few before i learned not to over-do the water content.
