Terminator II, wtf? Why is sarah so old at the end of the movie?

Wasn't the movie set like a few years before judgment day or something?  Like 90's?  And then the movie ends w/ Sarah Connor being all crotchety and yelling at kids to get off her lawn while sitting in the park and imaging more time-traveler sex?


How did she get that old so quick?  Didn't like 3 years pass since the main story line of T2?

WTF?

I halfway watched the movie tonight and don't understand... please explain anyone.  Wasn't judgement day in 98 so just a few years should have passed?

Judgement day is when shit blows up right?  And the movie takes place a few years prior?  So why is she so old at the end?


I watched the movie years ago and remember understanding everything, and I'll be damned if I'll sit through it again.

Dude they saved the world from judgement day that's why she lives so much longer.  But since judgement day is inevitable, it was pushed forward to when T3 starts and they explained how she died of cancer and all that BS.

I still haven't even see T3. I love T1 and T2 so much I don't think I can bring myself to watch that one.

Yeah 3 sucked pretty bad.  Though T2 was a rare example of a sequel that's better than the first IMHO.

But I think newbieshroomy called it.  She was just reminiscing like a crotchety ol psycho right?  So though her narative starts off talking about judgment day in the "I'm old" scene, the scene is really many years later?

Gotcha.  All is well again in the world.


And yeah, T3 sucks imo.  Just a sex tease with the hot chick as the terminator, which is a total cop out.

T3 was just ridiculous, but then I don't care for action movies too much, so take that for what its worth.

At least T2 seemd really cool and deep when I saw it at like 14 or whenever I first saw it, I wasn't impressed with T3

I thought T3 was exceptional as an action movie, tho maybe poor plotwise.

Yeah if you see T3 it'll ruin the whole series for you.  Some things you just want to block from your memory completely.  For me, T3 is one of those things.

I'll add it to the list of movies I will never see on principle, a list that at the moment only includes Titanic.

Really, don't watch T3. It WILL in fact ruin your expectations. Think T1, T2 and just stop after that.

Titanic isn't that bad, sure you'll get the mental image of  :whatever: with the romantic stuff (I know I did) but the disaster itself is reasonably well portrayed.
