Pore Gills, Blue Staining: is it active?

Hello, I happened upon some peculiar mushrooms at the park today. It's mostly a field with grass and large tree cover. I have no picture but I'm sure you experts out there can quickly evaluate based off of these characteristics:
height range 1-3 inches;
pores (no gills);
very quickly staining blue on bruise and cut;
pores are a beautiful deep yellow on young ones and slightly orange-rusty on more mature ones;
cap is a rust-brown (maybe a hint of red) and very smooth;
cap is convex (curving to the earth);
stalk is weighty and dual color, the bottom have red, the top having the yellow of the pores.
i tried for a spore print and i got varying results. at first i thought it was reddish, but maybe that was because i pushed on the top of the cap, and by waiting for spores to drop it seems they are yellow or white.
They mostly all grew seperate from each other (except twice two of them were growing together).
I saw somewhere that these might be a Boletes mushroom. Maybe someone knows where to point me to a photo of this type? So my question is if my find is edible and if it is psychoactive? Are there any mushrooms which are pore, not gills, and active?

Non active blue staining bolete...some are edible, some can cause stomach upsets. This is the best I can do without a photo...cheers.

these photos are a positive match. only the difference between pseudosensibilis and sensibilis i don't know. but it's no matter. i should of let the worms have these treats.

Both Boletus sensibilis and Boletus pseudosensibilis resemble your description, except that neither has pores which become orangish in age. Boletus miniato-pallescens is very similar in appearance to those species, and its tube surface becomes "tinged reddish orange in age", so I will suggest that it is a better match. I can find no photos of it on the internet, unfortunately. The photo in the book is pretty similar.
