Strange Store Bought Chinese Mushrooms (ID plz)

I bought these at an Asian Grocery store a couple months ago, but I have no idea what they are or what they could be.
- In the picture on the can they look like a morel or stinkhorn, but Im pretty sure morels wouldnt be $1 a can and stinkhorns arent edible.


When I opened them they looked like spongey yellow tubes. The taste was sweet, like butter, peaches, salt and sugar.



Edit: Brandname was "Kimlan" but no english translation of what they are on the can and I couldnt find them on the internet.

no clue what they are, the flesh looks similar to stinkhorns, but who knows.  and stinkhorns are in fact edible.

hose arent mushrooms.. Theyre asian condoms

I was wondering what the thing on the top was..  Plus most morels Ive seen were brown.

those are some smelly motherfuckers.  a job i was working on a few months back had the entire yard covered in those things, the smell is putrid.  :argh:

Really wish I could bring myself to eat stinkhorns- they are EVERYWHERE around here.  Thousands upon thousands.  The egg stage even looks appetizing and then... the smell.  I'd rather drive a nail through my nasal septum.  Twice.

it really is vile.  i eat some shit that most people consider wierd or gross, but i just cannot pull myself to try one. the smell from 3 feet away is enough to make me gag.
