Cable Internet Setup

okay... so me and my friend just moved in to our new place and we're finally setting up our tv's and internet and all that.

in the living room is where the cable directly goes into the first cable box.

now the second room is going to have a cable box and a modem.

in the second room, the cable is already coming out of a splitter, and we're going to have to use another splitter to get both the modem and second cable box working.

how bad will the internet be due to these 2 splitters? should we just get rid of the second cable box?

basically whats the best setup we can get.

depends how thick the wire is, and how far from the electric pole you are

that's pretty much it right there, I'd much rather
have signal degredation on the TVs rather than
the internet speed.
