cobweb mold
    #2179693 -

Is this cobweb mold? I have had cobweb mold in this terrarium before, but it begins to grow green mold in a few days. This has been growing for about a week. The strain in Blue Meanie on Rye grain cased with vermiculite.

It's tough to say without a very close shot.  From those pictures, I'd say things look very healthy.  Cobweb is so thin and wispy that sometimes you even have to adjust the lighting to see it.  It looks like. . .cobweb     Can you see anything suspicious on close inspection?

edit* The top left corner looks slightly suspicious.  Is it grey fuzzy growth?  You may have something that is not cobweb.

Looks a bit like mycelium to me.

Cobweb does not begin to grow green mold. Trich can be very white, turning green when producing spores I believe.

It is white and fuzzy, but it is beginning to lay down on the verm. I lightly misted with water and H2O2. The mycelium looked very much like this when it was colonizing the grain. It then condensed on the grain to form normal mycelia. I have noticed a few dense groups of strands growing across the surface. It probably is the beginning of trich. I have had no luck with this strain. It could be the geo-lite. I have had problems with that before. I soaked them in bleach and water to sterilize.
