HI, your problem might be the falling and rising tempatures. the fungus might be in shock, because of extreme changes in temp. you might want to cover them with a thick plastic sheet during the night to keep the culture warm and moiste. i'm duing the same thing and seems to work great, and i live in oregon! good luck, zapotec

Outdoor cultures behave completely different than indoor ones. Keep up the humidity and be patient...

First of all, if temps are cool, your shrooms will grow very slow outdoors. Try putting a clear container over then to create a green-house effect. Also some strains of P.cub, have been so domesticated to indoors growing, they do not do good outdoors. The PF strain is a example------------------ "I think of myself as an intelligent, sensitive human being with the soul of a clown which always forces me to blow it at the most important moments." Yesterday the veils started to tear on a few of the shrooms. The tallest shroom is about 3 inches and the rest are about 2-2.5. I had hoped that they would do a little better, but hey, I guess it is better than nothing. I placed two more patches out last weekend and the temps have been lo-55-60 and hi-75-80. Is this still cool for Equadors or will they do fine? I really hope they turn out b/c I am leaving for Yellowstone Nat Park in 3 1/2 weeks to live for the summer and I want to have plenty to take with me.
