i found three panaeolus subbalteatus in my yard a few days ago.  and i do know of two horse pastures i can look in.

Psilocybe cubensis has been known to grow in Nebraska in closets, basements and under beds.

They are one of the indoor mushrooms.

Seriously though, don't be bummed.  As others have said, there are other interesting species in Nebraska.  And the states where they do grow can be hard to pick.

Snakes, shotguns, angry farmers, police, etc.
