Obama will most likely win.

Im still voting for Ron Paul, the only canidate that i have seen to not tout oil, the mid east, or forign diplomacy.

While these are important issues, id rather fix, even repair our issues, than make new ones 5,000 miles away.

Sadly thats true, and its the kind of thinking that prevents change from happening.  People are still so caught up in the "two party system" that they refuse to vote for anyone other than the main two candidates because they ignorantly think that it is a "waste of a vote". 

If all of the people who think that Paul is the best candidate actually voted for him, he'd have a fighting chance, but sadly they won't for the reasons above.

On another note, I'll be voting for McCain. I've come to the conclusion that we need a president who understands war to handle this whole ordeal with Iraq in a sufficient manner. Barrack Obama has no war-time experience what-so-ever and I highly doubt he will be the savior everybody expects him to be.

My prediction is McCain/????? wins, I said in 2004 "There is no way in hell Bush/Cheney will be reelected" I'm not making that mistake again.

The religious and 2nd amendment backers always make sure they vote in November, will the Democrats make the same mistake again and think "so many people are voting Democrat, no need for me to go and deal with long lines at the polling place, I'll stay home and get stoned/drunk/high/nod"

personally, I'll vote for anyone that is not republican....and after 8 years of bush, I can't see another republican getting into the white house..I was shocked when he was elected the first time...appalled the second time...it's easy to be sickened with politics and government these days...it's hard to vote when you have a choice between "what's his name" and "some other guy"...but  people not voting is what helped get bush elected in the first place...that and people blindly voting along party lines...we need some major changes, and i hope obama will get the process started...it will take decades to undo the damage that the bush administration has caused to this country, and the world in general, but I think obama can at least help get us back in the right direction...another republican will just get us in deeper than we already are...

what war?  Iraq is another Viet Nam...only differences are sand and cities instead of jungle, and this wasn't because of some domino effect theory..this was pure greed and personal vengeance IMO...we never had any real reason to go to Iraq..Afghanistan I could understand, but not Iraq....sure..sadam was an asshole, but there was never any threat to the US...all the reasons given for going there have been shown to have been fabricated..only thing I see Iraq has done is kill off our young people..we were never popular in the world before...now we are hated by most..iraq has served to create more terrorists, has destroyed our economy, and has damaged our position in the world..we don't need someone that will continue down the same path as bush..we don't need someone " that understands war"...we need someone that doesn't understand war..someone that realizes that conflicts such as this are pointless...our youth are our future( or at least some of them...jury is still out on this generation)..we shouldn't be throwing them and our future away for some pointless reason...

No, he still wouldn't. There's no way Ron Paul could get close 50% of the vote in a general election.
America has a two party system because the voting system doesn't support preferences (Duverger's law). If you want real change, change the voting system.

I said he'd have a fighting chance, meaning it'd probably be close.  How are you so positive it wouldn't be if people just voted for who they thought was most qualified instead of just voting along party lines?  In that scenario, he wouldn't need anywhere near 50% of the votes, there are two other main candidates as well as other independent parties to take into account.

I'll vote GOP one more time. At least McCain won't embarrass our country with inexperience.
