I did not say anything about "diving into" it.  Do everything responsibly.  Just do it right.  A low dose is only enough to make you curious.  Shrooms at high doses can be very beneficial if treated with respect.  If you are going to do it one time, read up on it as much as you can, then take a high dose.  I'm talking 10 grams or more.  :eek:

yep :thumbup: they aren't going to kill you...if you do your research and go into it with a positive mindset, there's no reason you shouldn't go for the full experience

well I understand where you are coming from.. My first trip was probably 2.5 cubes, but I hit level 4 easy... I still don't remember everything, but if I was blacked out pretty much half my trip, how could you make the best of it. 10 grams to a shroom noob will 1) make them throw up 2) be very intense and turn bad very easy 3) make the trip impossible to remember

1) many people throw up on shrooms regardless of the dose size

2) If you take a large dose it's hard to have a bad trip because you'll find it hard to think at all and the ego tends to get in the way less

3) That's a valid point but not everyone has memory loss after a shroom trip. I for one usually remember nearly every moment of it.

1) if you make tea and ingest only the psilocybin from 10 grams of mushrooms, the throwing up issue should take care of itself

2) intense, yes...turn bad? not if you've done your research and know what is happening to your body

3) impossible for you maybe

you both make valid points.. maybe I should have said with my set and setting it would be a bad idea for a first trip.. Shine on :mushroom2: :sun:
Also- do you really think it is possible to not freak out on a big dose like that? one that would undoubtedly send you to the moon and back? I doubt you will remember all those trip tips and trip reports you read on the shroomery when you start the rocket engines..

All you have to remember is 2 things:

1) you will not die; and

2) the feelings you are having are the result of a drug and will lessen or go away when you come down.

Believe those two things, and all is ok.

I ate about 250-300 grams fresh my first time. :crazy2:

Yeah, my first trip was on LSD, not shrooms, but I wanted the full-blown experience, and I had done my research, so I wound up dropping 3 doses of the freshest, cleanest, most potent LSD i've ever done. Sure it could've turned out bad, and yeah it was freaky at times, however, it was the most incredible, magical, mind-blowing, earth-shattering, ect. experience of my life. I got so spun out that reality, me, life, freaking out, and so on had no meaning to me. I reached full-blown level 5 ego death (I dislike the level system, but it fits here) this night. I can see how high dose first trips can go bad.....but there's nothing like diving in, I think higher doses are actually safer......you just need to know what you're doing. IMHO, if you're not prepared enough for a high dose, you shouldn't be tripping. Being prepared and still starting low is one thing, but you never know how far you're going to go, so you really should know your shit. That's just my 2 cents though.  :shrug: :smile: :tongue2: :sun:  ***edit*** Haha, I forgot the topic for a minute, yes i've done shrooms....amd hell yes I will do them again!  :cool:

yes, i have shroomed since i was fourteen or fifteen and i imagine the time will come when i will be reunited to experience the magic again! thanks to the mushroom i have become focused! when i lose focus something has to put things back into perspective!
